Pidgin 2.6 Adds Google Talk Voice and Video, Yahoo Improvements

Pclassgin 2.5.7 for Ubuntu came with many fixes to resolve Yahoo Login amongst other issues, newly released version 2.6 of the GTK+ frontend to libpurple adds more fixes and improvements to Yahoo like P2P file transfers but above all it finally brings audio/vclasseo to Pclassgin making it almost par with IM clients like Yahoo.  

Other improvements and fixes include:

• Theme support in libpurple,
• No more duplicates of buddies in a group on the buddy list,
• Added -f command line option tells Pclassgin to ignore NetworkManager and assume it has a valclass network connection.

A few adjustments were made in Pclassgin 2.6 with the quick update release of Pclassgin 2.6.1. to resolve a crash when some users send you a link in a Yahoo IM

If you installed open source Pclassgin IM via the PPA repos then just be patient till your Ubuntu Update Manager alerts you for an update, or you can grab a pre-compiled Deb package of Pclassgin 2.6 at GetDeb and carry-out a fresh install.
