Firefox Mobile: Fennec Alpha 3 for Windows Mobile

Fennec Browser

Mozilla’s mobile version of the Firefox browser, for smaller non-PC devices like mobile phone devices and PDAs codenamed Fennec now has an Alpha 3 version for the Windows Mobile 6 platform.

The Fennec “mobile” browser is currently developed for the Linux based Maemo operating system that powers Nokia N800 and N810 Internet Tablets and for the Windows Mobile 6 platform. Work is underway for Symbian OS based mobile devices. Fennec “Windows” development lags behind that of Fennec “Maemo” -- now at version 1.0 beta 3.

Fennec Alpha 3 tries to improve stability, performance, and integration with the Windows Mobile OS. Obviously they can’t be improvements without bug fixes.

If you’re interested in this browser because you have a Windows Mobile device, then go read the release notes. If you’re interested in this browser but don’t have a Windows Mobile device still go and get a copy for your computer.
Downloads are available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. But remember desktop versions of Fennec are not supported products, they are just a great way to familiarize yourself with the Fennec UI, provide feedback, build add-ons.
