WordPress 2.6 comes with new exciting features

WordPress 2.6 has been officially released today July 15, the release anticipates the scheduled release date by a month. WordPress 2.6 aka “Tyner” can now be downloaded from the WordPress official site (you’re always advised to download it from the official website for security reasons) if you want to carry-out an upgrade or a fresh installation. You can also try-out the WordPress Automatic Upgrade Plugin for a less troublesome upgrade.

For Jazz lovers like myself, WordPress 2.6 is named after the Jazz pianist McCoy Tyner, an admirable and outstanding Afro-American jazz man. The Real McCoy album is a classic – and it’s also one of my favourites Jazz albums.
