The guys at CodeWeavers have released an enhanced version 8.0 of CrossOver Games, that like Crossover Chromium is based on Wine (Open Source Software for running Windows applications on other operating systems like Mac and Linux) open source project.
CrossOver Games allows Windows games to be played on Mac and Linux PCs without the need for a Windows operating system license.

Mozilla’s mobile version of the Firefox browser, for smaller non-PC devices like mobile phone devices and PDAs codenamed Fennec now has an Alpha 3 version for the Windows Mobile 6 platform.
The Fennec “mobile” browser is currently developed for the Linux based Maemo operating system that powers Nokia N800 and N810 Internet Tablets and for the Windows Mobile 6 platform. Opera 10.10 development build now available for download comes with the much talked about Opera Unite -- a web server in the web browser. Opera 10.10 builds are a continuation of Opera 10 plus Unite with bug fixes.
Better stay with Opera 10 if you prefer a stable well functioning browser to a complex, unstable Opera 10.10 development build with many unknowns and full of bugs. More»

Ubuntu 9.10 “Karmic Koala” milestones says it takes another Alpha, alpha 6 to reach the first beta release. Ubuntu 9.10 “Karmic Koala” Alpha 5 is the last but one alpha release.
Present in Alpha5 is the latest OpenOffice.org version 3.1. As Desktop Environment, you have GNOME 2.28 Beta 2 with Linux kernel 2.6.31 RC
These two, the Gnome 2.28 Beta 2 and Linux Kerel 2.6.31 RC will have stable versions before the final release of Ubuntu 9.10 come late October 2009. GNOME 2.28.0 stable release is expected in September 23.
